Please Note: This is a BETA feature - We highly suggest testing your buy x get y offer on a duplicate theme before setting live on your store.

Instead you must set this up with a few steps within shopify auto discounts and your theme editor.

It allows you to automatically add product to the cart for free when a customer purchases a qualifying item/s.
It includes a widget on product pages targeted by this offer.
Create the Discount:
- Navigate to the discounts section on your Shopify dashboard.
- Create a "Buy X, Get Y" discount.
- Select "Automatic" and name your discount
- Ensure "Minimum quantity of items" is selected and set a amount of items to unlock the reward.
- Choose the specific product or collection that will trigger the offer.
- Hit Save
Customize the Widget:
- Go to the Shopify themes section and customize your live theme.
- Navigate to the product page section and add the Buy X, Get Y beta block.
- Edit the offer to specify the product that triggers the discount and the free product.
- Adjust the design and appearance as needed.
Yes, there are several limitations:
- Limited to Shopify 2.0 themes: Only themes with app blocks are supported
- Current Offer Types: Buy X amount of products, get one free; Buy X amount of products from a collection, get Y free.
- Unavailable Offer Types: Buy one, get two free; Buy X, select a free product or variant. Spend X, Get y free
- Product Variants: The feature only supports the first variant of a free product.
- Compatibility: This feature is not compatible with other discounts created within Monster Cart.
- Quantity Limit: You can only run one Buy One, Get One Free offer at a time.
No, it is not recommended to use this feature for products with variants, such as clothing with different sizes. Instead, use it for items that do not require variant selection, like gadgets or hats.
The Buy One, Get One Free feature utilizes Shopify automatic discounts, which will override any other discounts created within Monster Cart.
